The Green’s team were amazing from start to finish…the quality of the work was of the highest standard but what was unexpected was their creativity in the design process which has really helped to turn the property into something special. Following a recommendation, we sought the services of Green’s Carpentry back in 2016 to undertake a redesign of an outdoor space at our property on the Gower, Andy and his team went way and above our expectations and the end finish was truly exceptional. We were so happy with his services that when we decided to build an Oak orangery at our home in Cambridge it was Andy and his team we turned to. You generally only ever hear ‘Bad Builder’ stories, but I am delighted to be reporting it was truly one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had. The Green’s team from start to finish were absolutely magnificent and as an engineer myself it was a treat watching how the team got over each and every problematic situation right through the renovation. Testament to the professionalism of the team were the compliments from my neighbours about the politeness and general respect every member of the team showed them. That really is a compliment when you consider the number of trades on site as the build progressed. I recall 11 vans parked on Norton Road at one stage, while work was going on inside and out. From our initial enquiry to the handover of our project, Andy and the team at Green’s have been attentive and ensured we not only got what we wanted but guided us in getting more than we could have ever dreamed of. Anything that was asked of them was never an issue, and there was always time taken out of their days to explain items and procedures as and when required.

Green’s managed everything. From liaising with the relevant organisations and authorities, to organising delivery of our choices of fixtures and fittings, together with installation, not forgetting the build, it meant that we were able to continue working knowing that our project was in safe hands. The team kept us continually updated with regards to progress of the build, by means of calls, messages and regular office and on-site meetings.

One thing that sticks in my mind was at a meeting at their offices. We advised Green’s of an up- and-coming issue with the local authority, which was nothing to do with the build and in that effect, nothing to do with Green’s. However, upon advising Andy and the team of the issue, their immediate response was ‘What can we do to help?’. And they did help, tremendously.

During the build, it was nice being approached by neighbours who were happy to inform us what nice, considerate people we had constructing our house and what a great job they were doing. This gave us that extra piece of mind we had made the right choice. Even now, after the works have been completed, we are still receiving compliments as to not only how good a job Green’s have done, but how friendly and considerate they were to our neighbours.

Since completion of the build, we have signed up to their Complete Contract Maintenance Service, which has been tailored to suit our needs. From Lawn and Hedge Maintenance, Driveway and Window Cleaning to general upkeep, the service is ideal for us as it means we can continue with our busy lives knowing that our home is being taken care of. It’s so nice coming home on an evening after work to see that Green’s have been in attendance and undertaken the organised works on our home. It’s even better knowing that it’s something that we don’t have to sort on a weekend. Instead of spending the weekend cutting the lawns and hedges and chasing the window cleaner, we are spending time as a family, which we’ve found paramount since lockdown.
